TILE FLOOR HEATING OPTIONS

If you are in the market for a radiant heat system that will heat your tile floor, you have ventured to the right place. Our goal is to provide you with the best options possible, then help you select the best best options for any project that will fit your individual needs and budget. There are three types of systems that we recommend for radiant spatial heating and floor warming:

1) Zmesh System - This low voltage system uses our Zmesh heating element, which is a 12-inch wide bronze mesh similar to screen door material that comes in 50 to 300 foot rolls (in 50 ft. increments). Zmesh is our most popular product. Because of its low profile (practically paper thin), installing any floor surface over Zmesh is simple and effective. Zmesh can even be installed under cement board so that no mortar buildup is necessary. Zmesh is your radiant solution for carpet, hardwood, tile, marble, slate, linoleum, and vinyl.

Applications: All hardwood & carpet floors - Tile floors 500 sq. ft. & above

2) Tuff Cable System - This low voltage system uses our Tuff Cable heating element, which is a very durable, 10 gauge (slightly less then 1/4" in diameter) insulated copper cable that is chemical and gasoline resistant. A great advantage to Tuff Cable is that you can install it in awkward and hard to reach areas of your floor layout. Because there are no fixed mats, the cable can be customized in any pattern on your floor. Tuff Cable can be installed in concrete and under tile, stone, slate, and marble flooring. It is also our snow and ice melting weapon that is used in asphalt, concrete and brick pavers.

Applications: Tile, marble, & slate floors 100 to 475 sq. ft.

3) QuickMat System - This line-voltage system uses a cable mat that is either 12 or 18 inches wide. The heating cables properly spaced and secured with foil tape that makes for a quick and easy installation. Simply lay the QuickMat over the area to be heated, peel off the wax paper underneath, and secure the QuickMat to the subfloor. This flexible system allows you to cut the tape to free up the cable for hard to reach areas. The QuickMat System also has the best line-voltage warranty on the market - 10 years parts and labor. The QuickMat system is ideal for heating tile floors that are between 10 and 150 square feet in size. The QuickMat system is installed in the mortar underneath the tile. This tile heating system is great for the 'do-it-yourself' professional.

Applications: Tile, marble, & slate floors 10 to 150 sq. ft.
